Score: 4.75 stars out of 5

Here we will review Moju’s fresh root ginger gut shot. This shot is available widely in supermarkets in the UK. Sainsbury’s has a regular price of £2. However far better value can be found on Amazon when buying a few of the multi-shot bottles.

Ingredients

There’s plenty of gut-friendly ingredients including apple, ginger, lemon and Acerola cherry powder. These juices are cold pressed for clean extraction.

It’s good to see there are no preservatives or sweeteners or anything artificial - just four natural ingredients.

I’d like to know the percentage of apple juice and lemon juice, but it isn’t offered.

Flavour

The smell is very strongly of ginger.

The taste is fiery and fresh. Along with the fieriness there is sweetness from the apple juice. The tingling from the ginger remains in your throat for a while afterwards - but not in a bad way.

Effects

Through the strong ginger fire, it does give you a kick and a feeling of vitality - so the marketing is on point!

Whether through expectation or not, my stomach did feel settled afterwards.
